Michele Valenza
"Boadicea."

Michele says that Boadicea, the Celtic
warrior Queen, had one British husband
and two Roman husbands. The Romans
generally admired her beauty and her
courage. She was an object of desire.
Michele is an accomplished carver of
erotic figures in marble. This sculpture in
wood is a little more subdued than some
of his work, but is voluptuous and well
curved nevertheless.

Michele was born in 1950 in Villalba,
Sicily, where he lives and works.
He started sculpting at the age of 10 and
began showing his work in 1970.
Since 1980 Michele's work has been in
demand in Italy and abroad, particularly
Korea, and is in many private and public
collections.
