After remaining a small village with a steady population, Caerleon was growing - Lodge Hill was being developed... Lodge Avenue, Lodge Hill, Bellin Close, Caradoc Road, Gwadys Place...

Caradoc Road has since been renamed Roman Way. Many other changes have taken place... for example Cecil Terrace is now part of Mill Street and the house numbers for the whole road have been changed accordingly.

House numbers may have changed, but house names have, by and large, remained the same.

Some houses have the same occupants as 21 years earlier (see the 1934 directory), others have the same occupants today - over 45 years later!
