For the other text boxes the search will find any occurence of your sequence of letters in the relevant field. So, "Ja" will find "James"; "Martha Jane"; "Janet" and "Benjamin". Likewise, "Common" will find "Forge Common"; "Goldcroft Common" and "Gethings Row, Goldcroft Common".

There's no need to complete all the boxes! But the more you fill in, the more you narrow the search...
